Spencer Cholak, BSc

PhD Candidate

Spencer completed a BSc in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Alberta in 2020, where he utilized X-Ray Crystallography to study the role of various E3 ligases in double strand DNA break repair. During his PhD he is focused on using cryo-electron microscopy to accelerate the development of therapeutics with an emphasis on treating cancer.

Spencer is supported by the Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships Master’s (CGS M) award, awarded in 2021.
